American Thanksgiving is a New World and just slightly out-of-period celebration, but festivals celebrating the harvest and giving thanks are very medieval! Starting with celebrations of the first harvests around the beginning of August and the last sometime between mid-September and mid-November, harvest festivals appear in many Period cultures.
