Canton Meeting

There will be a Canton Business Meeting on September 9, 2025 @ 6:00 p.m.

B&B’s B&B, 1815 Pinelog Road, Aiken, SC 29803

The agenda will include general Canton business and the selection of a new Seneschal.

All Canton members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Dame Morwenna reports that one Letter of Intent has been received for the open position of Canton Seneschal.

Gylfie has offered to serve as Ritterwald’s next Seneschal for a period of two years.

In accordance with the selection process previously announced, at the Tuesday gathering, 9/9/2025, a show-of-hands polling will take place. Because there is but one candidate, it will be a simple “yay or nay” vote. Yay = you accept Gylfie as the next canton seneschal (subject to confirmation by the Kingdom Seneschal); Nay = you do not wish to have Gylfie as the next canton seneschal.

Participation in the polling is open to any current SCA member who resides in the canton’s zip code area (Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, or Edgefield), AND who claims Atlantia as their home kingdom. NOTE: if you are eligible to participate in the polling BUT will not be present at that time, you may express your vote by email so that I will serve as your proxy. Such proxy notifications should be sent to Dame Morwenna at DepSenSCGA@atlantia.sca.org before the meeting.

We’re finally in the last stages of assigning new official SCA Ritterwald email addresses for Canton officers! Soon it will be possible to contact them all at <office name>@ritterwald.atlantia.sca.org.

We’re also establishing an address for our signature demo/event, NQQBR@ritterwald.atlantia.sca.org to facilitate event-related email communications.

Once the new addresses are live, they will be added to the Officer page.
