We’re finally in the last stages of assigning new official SCA Ritterwald email addresses for Canton officers! Soon it will be possible to contact them all at <office name>@ritterwald.atlantia.sca.org.
We’re also establishing an address for our signature demo/event, NQQBR@ritterwald.atlantia.sca.org to facilitate event-related email communications.
Once the new addresses are live, they will be added to the Officer page.
There will be a Canton Business Meeting on March 25, 2025 @ 6:00 p.m.

American Thanksgiving is a New World and just slightly out-of-period celebration, but festivals celebrating the harvest and giving thanks are very medieval! Starting with celebrations of the first harvests around the beginning of August and the last sometime between mid-September and mid-November, harvest festivals appear in many Period cultures.
This week, the people of Ritterwald extend their warm wishes for a safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Brynna’s Beginning Embroidery Class at A&S Tuesday
Come enjoy an evening of art with Brynna teaching one of her greatest specialties, embroidery! Embroidery has been around for at least 30,000 years, enhancing clothing since there has been clothing to wear. Embroidery enhances everything, from dresses, cloaks, hats and even shoes. Join us for this beginner class and open the door to one of the most beautiful artforms!

This is a great local event – only about 1 1/2 hours from Aiken – where you can take in the scribal workshop or just take it easy and spend time socializing with other members of the Barony. The event is free but there is a small admission fee to Dreher Island State Park ($3 for adults).
Lunch is Potluck – bring something to share!
